How do you tell the difference between a minton grasmere china seconds and a first quality?

Usually seconds will have some type of defect. This can be minor scratches, painted incorrectly, or have paint smears. Some defects are more noticable than others. My experience is to take a good look at it. If you don’t see anything jumping out at you, no one else will either.
