Why were some Legend of Zelda NES game cartridges gold and some grey?
is there any difference between the two games?
Many Zelda games have been released in gold cartridges, as collector’s editions.
The gold cartridge versions tend to be the first versions of the game. Most commonly, one would receive a gold cartridge game if it was pre-ordered. In the case of the original TLoZ, it was just originally released in gold.
Being the first versions, the gold-cartridge games tend to be more glitchy, but other than that there is absolutely no difference in the games.
